Mally Beauty review
Full Face Precision Brush
The Mally Full Face Precision Brush is a smaller and more narrow version of a fluffy brush for blush or bronzer. I found the best results with this brush when I used it for powder products, but it does wonders with cream products, too. The bristles are super soft and very gentle on the skin. I’m in love with these brushes and use them on clients as a freelance makeup artist. I get regular compliments on how soft the bristles are. I found the best results with this brush when diffusing blush on the apple of my cheeks. It creates a beautiful dimension and doesn’t lump all of the color into one spot. It’s also great for going over the whole face with setting powder.
One complaint I have about this brush is the ferrule. After a few uses, the ferrule is starting to become loose and wobbly, so it will need to be super glued in the next month or so. Aside from that, I have no complaints. This is a great brush for the value, is extremely soft, and simple to clean.
Blush Brush
The Mally Blush Brush is a fluffy, angled brush with soft bristles and a cute pink handle. I’m in love with these brushes and use them on clients as a freelance makeup artist. I get regular compliments on how soft the bristles are. What I love most about this brush is the angle. Unlike other blush brushes which are super fluffy and very large, this brush has more precision and blends out cream products, like contour and blush, beautifully.
I found the best results with adding a small amount of cream blush or contour to my face, and then blending it with the brush. Another way is to use this brush to pick up the cream product with the brush, and then apply to the face, but I found that it wasn’t as precise when I did that. Overall, this is a great brush for the value, is extremely soft, and simple to clean.
Perfect Prep Neutralizing Primer
The Mally Perfect Prep Neutralizing Primer is a primer great for smoothing out skin texture and preparing the face for makeup. This formula was great for blurring the skin and creating a base for a matte face. I received the tinted color - Medium, which left a bit of a white cast so I had to go in with bronzer and blush to warm up my face afterward. In the beginning, I was not won over by this product because of the formula texture and the mismatched color, but after I completed my look I was happy with the results. As many others have stated, the formula is a bit runny and a little goes A LONG WAY, so it’s important to start off with DOTS on the face, not a big dollop.
The formula is longwearing and I didn’t notice creasing or fine lines at the end of my looks with this primer. Overall, I was happy with the performance but not enough to make a purchase on my own. Right now, I’m committed to gel primers, but this formula’s performance was pretty competitive.
