Laura Geller (Pt.1) review

Modern Classic Lip Gloss

The Laura Geller Modern Classic Lip Gloss in “Peaceful Pink” is a lovely neutral shade that can be worn on its own or on top of a liner or matte lipstick. This is a great bridal lip gloss because it’s a neutral pink that looks beautiful on all skin tones. I feel comfortable using this product on a client of any skin toned because of how thoughtfully this color was created, which is not always the case with Laura Geller products.

The formula is thick, hydrating, and is very pigmented for a gloss. What I love about the Laura Geller Modern Classic Lip Gloss is that it’s very pigmented and has great color payoff. Unlike other lip glosses, a little goes a long way and you don’t have to keep reapplying for a beautiful shine. Overall, this lipgloss is versatile and a great option for brides, nights out, and neutral everyday looks.

Bravo Brows Boosting Liner

The Laura Geller Bravo Brows Boosting Liner is a felt tip liner meant to add dimension and fill in sparse brows. What I like about this product is that the formula isn’t sticky or tacky, and can be easily removed with micellar water or a cleansing balm. It’s also a natural fluffy brow look, which looks lovely. While I do love the look of the felt tip, I have to dip the applicator back into the pot for every stroke, otherwise, the color doesn’t show.

Typically, I use a felt tip brow product to create a fluffy, brow lift kind of look. With this product, it’s pretty difficult to draw over a holding gel for the laminated look and it doesn’t pick up the color very well, so I apply it with no brow gel. The directions tell you to shake well before use because the formula is extremely oily and separates in the bottle. In addition to this, the color offerings aren’t very good. The darkest shade “Dark Brown” works okay on me, but surely wouldn’t be a good match for darker complexions.

Cheek to Chic Tropical Glow Baked Face Palette

The Laura Geller Cheek to Chic Tropical Glow is a face palette with two blushes, two highlighters, and two bronzers that give a luminous, sun-kissed glow to your makeup look. What I love about this palette is that you get a lot of product at 1.5g for each of the 6 pans. The color story is quite beautiful, but I’m not sure ALL the colors would suit all skin shades. For example, Tahitian Glow and Honey Dipped are beautiful, but may not be dark enough for deeper skin types. I also wish that Honeysuckle was more pink/red/orange so that it served more as a blush and not a bronzer.

Honey Dipped is my favorite shade out of this palette. It’s SO multipurpose, as it can serve as a highlighter or go on the eyelids, lips, and cheeks. It’s warm and glowy, and I absolutely love it.

Tropic Hues is a flushed baby pink color that sets amazingly on top of a cream blush. I love this color and feel that it serves beautifully on the eyelids or the cheeks.

Honeysuckle is a “blush” but is more brown than pink. It’s still beautiful, but felt that the palette has 3 bronzers and only 1 blush because this color didn’t give the blush color I thought it would.

French Vanilla is supposed to serve as a highlighter but performs more like a very shimmery and pigmented white shadow. French Vanilla is a great shade for packing on top of a cut crease or maybe using on your nose for highlighting, but it’s more white than shimmery like other highlighters so be light with it.

Tahitian Glow is more cool than Honey Dipped, but still very luminous and bronzing. I haven’t used this as much, but when I run out of Honey Dipped, I will.

Dulce De Leche is stunning!
