Mally Beauty (Pt.2) review

Bulletproof Powder Blush

I love blush and received the colors Confident Coral and Proud Pink. The Proud Pink was the better of the two, but it performed exactly like e.l.f. Blush Bright, which costs $2. As for the Coral, even after 7 or 8 times of going back to build the product on my cheeks, it was hardly noticeable. In my opinion, this product is not worth the price and there are plenty of cheaper blushes that are better performing and have a more diverse range of colors that look magnificent on ALL skintones.

The formula is buttery and buildable, but required 5 or 6 times to get the level of rosiness I prefer on my skin tone. Similar to my criticisms of the other blushes and bronzers from the Mally line, I didn’t feel these colors were very inclusive. For reference, I am a medium-skin toned woman, who’s getting more copper because of summer. If I have to go back and build this color 5 or 6 times to get the rosiness I want, then I know that more deep skinned beauties did not get the color payoff necessary for this product to shine. Unfortunately, I had high hopes for these Mally blushes, but they did not perform.

Bulletproof Powder Bronzer

I absolutely love bronzer and love looking like a gingerbread cookie! This bronzer was good, but not GREAT. I liked that the formula was warm/red and pigmented, but didn't feel that the color range was as inclusive as other brands. I'm obsessed with Makeup Revolution's Splendor Matte Bronzer because of the size, price, smell, and color range and have yet to come across a bronzer that competes.

As a medium-skinned person who's color is changing because of summer, the bronzer gave me the warmth I needed a few weeks ago, but now is not as pigmented on my skin. With this in mind, I can only imagine the disappointment felt by the deep-skinned beauties who received the two lightest colors of the shade range. I still use this color on my eyes, but would need the deep shade to get the definition and warmth I want now that summer is here.

The Cheek Lift Illuminating Powder Blush

Unfortunately, this product failed miserably in all shade ranges.I'm a cream-blush lover so I had high hopes for the Mally The Cheek Lift Illuminating Powder Blush but it was a flop. Both the cream and powder formulas were hardly pigmented and not made with the Black and brown beauties in mind. The Pamper Me Pink powder blush was more of a neutral toned flesh color that had horrible color payoff.

I even tried to use it in the corners of my eyes and it still gave no brightness. I was hoping the Preach Peach powder blush was going to be a bright warm orange for the melinated beauties and it was also a flop. It also had horrible color pay off and didn't show up at all on my skintone. As for the cream blushes, their pigmentation was just as bad as the powders and weren't buildable. When used over foundation, they caked, lifted your base layer, and left a weird pasty cast that was cool and kind of frosty. I was super disappointed to get two items for a single product and both were poorly pigmented and not made to compliment all skin tones.

Evercolor Starlight Pencil Waterproof Eyeliner

Let me start by saying I am a brown-eyeliner fanatic and have HUNDREDS of brown eyeliner pencils! I thought the Mally Evercolor Starlight Pencil Waterproof Eyeliner delivered high quality results in comparison to other common prestige and drugstore brands. It’s multipurpose for eyes and lips and the formula is creamy.

The application glides on like butter for a fully-pigmented finish. I like that the color espresso was warm and complimented my skin very well. My ultimate test is using a brown eyeliner on both my eyes for a smudged winged eyeliner look as well as a lipliner and this product passed. To be clear, this eyeliner is waterproof, so it smudges without SMEARING. Especially with lipgloss on, this product stayed put, looked beautiful, and stayed on for 10+ hours with only one reapplication.
