Soo’AE review

Charcoal Clay Bubble Mask

Big shoutout to Soo'Ae for its diverse brand marketing featuring dark skin and brown skin women on their page! As a beauty brand owner and beauty advisor in retail for 5 years, I am ecstatic about the powerful properties of bubble masks! Not only does the Soo'Ae Charcoal Double Bubble Mask boost circulation and collagen production as the bubbles interact with oxygen, but they work in tandem with the purifying charcoal to catch and remove impurities, leaving the skin feeling clean and refreshed.

This formula creates an amazing lather, it feels very good on the skin and leaves my complexion feeling refreshed and clean. I use this product once a day in the morning when I am most oily. I use two pumps on dry skin and then lather it with wet fingers when my face is covered in bubbles. I have combo skin and felt that using this product twice daily left me a little dry, so I would recommend this product as a daily cleanser to beauties who are oily and as a masque 1-3x a week to beauties with dry or combo skin.

My reason for 4/5 stars is because I disliked the product scent. While it does smell clean, the formula is giving bathroom cleaner vibes that I don't love. With the rosemary and charcoal in mind, I wish the scent was more earthy or herbal.

My Collagen Hydrogel Lip Patch

The My Collagen Hydrogel Lip Patch is a one time use lip patch that costs $4 per pack. The hydrogel patch is thick and high quality. There’s a flat side that helps it suction to the lip area and distinguish which part of the patch to use. The material is cooling, leaving your lips feeling soothed while you're wearing it. I appreciated that the product is saturated with essence, but it was difficult to keep on while doing other activities around the house so I had to lay down while using it. After 15 minutes with the patch on, my lips felt soft and hydrated.

Overall, I prefer a lip treatment or balm over lip patches because of the gymnastics you have to do to keep them on and I'm not a fan of single-use products. My complaint about the My Collagen Hydrogel Lip Patch was that it didn't live up to the hydration it marketed and I wish that the product came in a larger quantity so I could experience it for longer and deliver more accurate results over time.

My Collagen Hydrogel Eye Patch

The Soo’AE My Collagen Hydrogel Eye Patches are single use eye patches that cost $3 per pack. The patches are thick and nourishing, and have a flat side that you can feel for the best suction under the eyes. They left my under eye area feeling noticeably hydrated, but didn't experience any depuffing. The formula includes collagen and berry extracts to catalyze firming. The patches are saturated with essence which keeps them hydrated for a long time while they’re on the eyes. The size and thickness of the patches are much bigger than the typical hydrogel patch, so they are prone to slide down your face. This made it difficult to do things around the house, so I ended up having to lay down while using them.

Overall, I thought these patches were good quality for the price. My complaints about these patches are that I wish they were offered in larger quantities (12 pack, 30 pack) and I wish I saw more results for depuffing. Ultimately, the single use packaging makes it difficult to see results with these, as I like to experience the for 4-6 weeks.

Hemp Dreams Mud Mask

The Soo’AE Hemp Dreams Mud Mask was extremely clarifying and dries down tightly. Using the entire packet made it tough to wash off and dried a little too tight for my liking. An easy way to fix this would be to use less product, and split the pack into 2 uses in the future. I liked the buttery consistency of this formula, and liked that it wasn’t grainy and didn’t have any chunks in it.

One complaint I have about this mask is that it claims to be hydrating. As someone who has dry to combination skin, I didn’t feel that this product replenished any hydration back into the skin. It did exactly what it was supposed to do and left my skin dry so that I could attack the multiple breakouts I had on my face. When I removed the mask, my skin felt dry and in need of moisture, so I followed up with one of my most hydrating toners from Papa Recipe.

Overall, this mask did exactly what it was supposed to do, but I wouldn’t use this often because of how clarifying it was.

Calm - Tea Tree Clear Dot Patch

Big shoutout to Soo'Ae for its diverse brand marketing that features dark skin and brown skin women on their page. As a beauty brand owner and beauty advisor in retail for over 5 years, I am ecstatic about Soo'Ae's inclusivity of skintones, high quality ingredients at affordable price points, and initiative to increase access to their products by partnering with WalMart.

The Tea Tree Zit Sticker Patches are medical grade and FDA approved patches that come in two different sizes: 10 mm and 12 mm in diameter. The zit sticker patches are drug-free and, instead, utilize the healing properties plants, including tea tree and cica, or Centella asiatic. I have had the best results when using these patches on stubborn or early stage zits below the surface of the skin. I would recommend these patches to anyone looking for medicine-free patches or natural healing properties to fight acne and early stage pimples.

Phyto Collagen® Serum

Big shoutout to Soo'Ae for its diverse brand marketing that features dark skin and brown skin women on their page. As a beauty brand owner and beauty advisor in retail for over 5 years, I am ecstatic about Soo'Ae's inclusivity of skintones, high quality ingredients at affordable price points, and initiative to increase access to their products by partnering with WalMart. Love that this product's core ingredients are niacinamide (plumping & brightening), adenosine (blood vessel dilation and circulation), and collagen (antiaging). The Soo'Ae Phyto Collagen Serum is a lightweight and vegan-friendly collagen serum with a variety of fermented ingredients, including yeast, bifida ferment lysate, lactobacillus pumpkin extract, ginseng root.

Not only are fermented ingredients more potent and concentrated with vitamins and antioxidants, but they increase skin absorption and balance out the skin's microbiome. The product has a floral scent with a juicy aroma that reminds me of blossoms. The scent dissipates easily upon application and is not overbearing. I use a generous amount (2 whole pumps) of the Soo'Ae Phyto Collagen Serum after applying a toner and love how lightweight and absorbent this formula is. I would recommend the Soo'Ae Phyto Collagen Serum to anyone struggling with dry or lackluster skin or beauties looking for a lightweight serum that doesn't leave the skin feeling sticky or tacky. Below are my PROS and CONS of this product. - PROS- - Affordability $18.00 - Vegan-friendly collagen - Fermented ingredients - Lightweight and easy absorption
