Skinworx review

Lip Plump+Protect

A multi-functional lip treatment with SPF meant to restore hydration and boost lip plumpness.

I love that this formula contains multiple forms of hyaluronic acid and ceramides. These are both great for creating hydration and retaining moisture. I was impressed that they were in the lip treatment. Another thing I love is the soft doe foot applicator. I work from home and love that it gives a visible plump on camera and keeps my lips soft throughout the day since it has been snowing. This formula is tingly and gives results almost instantly.

One concern I had was the broad term “Herbal Vitamins and Conditioners”. It would be nice if the brand elaborated on this for full transparency with buyers. Another concern I had with this product was the price. $55 for a single tube is pretty steep for a lip treatment, but it’s good stuff!

Phyto Correct Serum

The Skinworx Phyto Correct Serum is a soothing botanical serum meant to target skin that’s dehydrated, inflamed, and sensitive skin types like acne, rosacea, and sunburn. Some of the main ingredients include Green Tea, Hyaluronic Acid, and L-Ascorbic (Vitamin C) to help calm irritation and protect the skin from free radical damage.

What I love about the Skinworx Phyto Correct Serum formula is that it’s loaded with ingredients that are great for decreasing like hyaluronic acid for hydration, green tea for plumping and depuffing, and cucumber, elderberry, and hemp seed oil for calming and soothing the skin.

Overall, I really liked this phyto correct serum because it gave my skin a nice boost of hydration without feeling too heavy on the skin. I wasn't able to try it out on damaged or irritated skin, but plan to use it when this happens.

AHA BHA Brightening Scrub

The Skinworx AHA BHA Brightening Scrub is a facial scrub meant to target clients dealing with hyperpigmentation, skin discoloration and dullness and mimic a microdermabrasion facial. The formula includes glycolic and salicylic acid for cleansing, healing, correcting, and treating lackluster skin, as well as removing dead skin cells that interfere with oil drainage of the skin.

I really liked the consistency of this formula because it’s thin enough that a little bit of the product (about a dime size) goes a long way, especially for scrubbing and exfoliating. Personally, I found that just a small amount was enough to give my face a gentle scrub because too much product felt a little too rough for me. One thing I didn’t like about this product was how messy the microfibers were. Even after multiple rinses, I still found the little beads in my hairline and around my nose.

I also don’t suggest using a physical exfoliating product too often because they can be damaging to the skin barrier and can leave little cuts on your face.

Nourish+Repair Cream

The Skinworx Nourish + Repair Cream is a rich and restorative moisturizer focused on aging and dehydrated skin. The formula contains green tea, hyaluronic acid, collagen boost technology, and peptides which are focused on repairing the skin barrier while replenishing and soothing the skin. It’s fragrance free with a fluffy, Cereve-like texture that’s great for hydrating and calming dry or compromised skin.

What I loved about this formula was the nourishing properties, especially after washing your face with a face cleanser that leaves your skin feeling squeaky and stripped.

One thing I wasn’t a fan of was the dispenser and packaging. The dispenser is a push-pop kind of lid that dispenses formula from the center of the lid so you’re swiping your finger over the top to get product and apply it to your face. This is a bit unsanity and I’d prefer a jar where I can use a tool to get product or a squeeze bottle where I direct the product onto my finger instead of swiping my finger on the dispenser. Despite this, I also appreciated that the jar has a removable lid that makes it easy to access product at the bottom and properly clean it out for recycling.

Overall, I really enjoyed this product and would recommend it to anyone with severe or compromised skin concerns like auburn, rosacea, eczema, or extremely dry or sensitive skin.
