Tricoci Haircare review
Smoothing Serum
As a beauty brand owner and textured hair expert since 2012, I love trying new haircare products to make sure they're suitable for all textures and Tricoci comes through EVERYTIME! The Tricoci Smoothing Serum is perfect for all hair textures and is a Multipurpose serum that could be used as a heat protectant or a conditioning serum on dry or split ends. Because I don't put heat on my hair with hot irons or curlers, I don't use serums as a heat protectant. Instead, I use serums in my conditioning and hydrating steps before I go to bed to protect my hair from breakage in the night. For my routine, I comb the serum through my ends and then put my hair into a pineapple. Before wrapping my hair in a scarf, I use more serum to put on the hair that doesn't make it into the pony. Not only does this serum leave my hair SUPER soft, but it minimizes the brittleness I'm used to in between washes, and extends the days I have in between. When I wake up, my hair is silky, soft, and only requires a light spray down with some leave in conditioner. As I said, TRICOCI DOES IT EVERYTIME!
Root Amplifier
This was a great Keratin-safe product that was also vegan and free from sulfates, parabens, phthalates, harsh salts, gluten, and artificial colors. Additionally, the product has a plant-based formula as it uses the power of Hydrolyzed Kale Protein, Hydrolyzed Carrot Protein and Hydrolyzed Lemon Protein.
As a conscious beauty expert whose cabinet is filled with mostly fragrance-free products, this product line still made me and my hair happy despite how high Fragrance/Parfum is on the ingredients list. After using this product, I was happy with the scent that stayed throughout the day and I received many compliments on it, to which I responded, "I'm using Tricoci's Everyday Line." The Root Amplifier is a lightweight hairspray that creates volume and revitalizes limp hair. I'm a person with thick curly 3B hair and got the best results when my hair was dry.
Everyday Shampoo
This was a great Keratin-safe product that was also vegan and free from sulfates, parabens, phthalates, harsh salts, gluten, and artificial colors. As a conscious beauty expert whose cabinet is filled with mostly fragrance-free products, I can say that this shampoo still made me and my hair happy despite how high Fragrance/Parfum is on the ingredients list. The Everyday Shampoo arrived in a simplistically designed bottle and has a unique push-pop dispenser, making it stand out in comparison to other brands. While I do not shampoo my hair daily, I used this product 2-3x/week and found that it gave my hair a great wash without the stripping natural oils from my scalp. Unfortunately, anything with Fragrance/Parfum high on its ingredient list dries me out and creates irritation if I use it too often, and Tricoci's products fall into that list. Despite this, Tricoci's products are my guilty pleasure, and I use them sparingly, as a treat to myself on my wash days.
Everyday Conditioner

It hydrates, softens, and protects the hair without making it greasy or oily like some conditioners. 3P1 Styling Cream
As a Prestige Beauty Advisor and Multicultural hair specialist who is always exploring new leave-in conditioners and styling creams, I was pleasantly surprised with Trococi's 3P1 styling cream. The packaging is sleek and simplistic, and 1 pump offers a great amount of product to work with initially, though 2-3 pumps is what has worked for me.
After using this product on both wet and dry hair, I can say that either option will result in a lightweight sculpt that kept my curls hydrated and defined without a crunchy or saturated feeling from the product. The cream smells lovely and doesn't leave my hands feeling sticky or tacky. The one Disclaimer I would offer to anyone with a sensitive scalp is that Fragrance/Parfum, which often has alcohol, is the 5th ingredient in this product, meaning there is a considerable amount of it and could result in scalp irritation. After using 4-5 pumps for a week straight, I did notice a little scalp irritation on myself, so I decreased to less product (2 pumps) and instead of applying it at the roots, I use it on my ends to tame frizz.
