K18 review

Leave-in Molecular Repair Hair Mask

I am a professional hair model who has worked with both drugstore and salon level products. While I liked this product, I didn’t LOVE it or notice much difference compared to my other masks and restorative products. This formula felt like any regular leave-in conditioner and didn’t offer any additional performance benefits, which means it's just an addition to your existing hair routine. Also, I wasn't a fan of the scent and wish it had a more luxury fragrance profile like other salon products.

I used the product one pump at a time on wet hair for a total of 3 pumps of product, and then followed with my typical hair care routine using TGIN or Camille Rose. I noticed how soft the product left my hands, but I didn’t notice much improvement of softness or bounce of my hair.

The Leave-in Molecular Repair Hair Mask is a vegan, color-safe, and cruelty-free formula meant to restore hair health with the patented K18Peptide™, a clinically proven ingredient meant to reverse damage in just 4 minutes. The product claims to heal chemical damage from bleach, color, and heat, as well as restore strength and softness. The formula is a steep price ($75) for only 50mL and I don’t feel that the results were worth the price. There are many other drugstore and salon products that restore and style the hair, and offer much more quantity for a cheaper price.
